Around nine o’clock last night, a herd of Pratt students, including myself, all managed to make it through security at Higgins Hall. We climbed through some windows, up some gutters and ladders, then had what could be considered one of the best views in Brooklyn if it weren’t for the random jutting high-rises around us (which probably had the better views, then).

Higgins Hall. We were in the upper left hand rooftop.
The fireworks were pretty cool too. Although they were exactly the same, we got to see the fireworks from downtown and Times Square simultaneously.
Those are the downtown fireworks. When I looked at the pictures on my phone this morning, I thought the floating white thing in the upper left was a cool cloud. It’s just Katie’s arm, though. After the hot dog and cheese fries (which I forgot to mention had their calories posted next to them on the menu: hotdog 297, cheese fries: 685), I ate half of a large pizza. That’s four slices, you guys. To be honest, all the weight seems to have gone to my boobs so I’m not that upset.
Furthermore, it was a good holiday. When I was at a rooftop party in Bed-Stuy earlier in the night, there were some tattooed white people, that looked like they were from Miami ink or something, partying on the rooftop of a condo across from us. Katie, Scott and I were all leaning on the side of the roof of the brownstone we were in, and suddenly, after wishing us a happy independence day, they called us hipsters. I was dressed kinda like the mom in Jurassic Park. It’s hard being a Pratt student sometimes. The people in the condo probably got mugged on the way to their Honda Civics, though.
