Styrofoam is really really bad.

One of the benefits of living near a Dunkin Donuts is that I can wake up later and grab a cup on my way to work.  Today I snoozed my alarm for almost a half hour and on my way out the door felt myself walk at a leisurely pace to Fresh Pond as I calmed my fears of being late with the vision of a big styrofoam cup in my hand.  Five minutes later there was a large black coffee in my hand and I was standing on the M train platform, noticing a steady drip beside me feet.  (I think that would be a good sentence to include in a Madlibs).  I lifted the cup over my head to see the source, and after realizing there was no way I could MacGyver my way into keeping the coffee inside, I tossed it.

So both the M and the G train were late, and I really should’ve just stopped at the Pratt Coffee shop, but I went the opposite direction of Pratt to get a Red Eye and Almond Croissant from Bittersweet instead.  The Red Eye from there is fabulous because the coffee never has a burnt/Starbucks taste and the espresso is just bitter enough.  I added some soymilk and it tastes kind of like vanilla frosting — which may or may not sound really gross, but I’m loving it.
