Yesterday I had an interview at another place on campus.  It went well enough for me to put in for my two weeks notice at the library.  I think I have to conceal my joy because I’m superstitious about things not going well.  You know karma and such, the asshole library clerk quits job and celebrates freedom from an autocratic administrator, then job she has lined up falls through and she’s forced to move back to Buffalo for the summer or take out multiple I.O.U.’s until she can rekindle her dogwalking flame.  I miss Mookie and Bonnie, but nothing beats an air conditioned office.

It’s nearly the end of the semester.  The excitement from spring break and the week after is starting to fade and summer is much closer.  Scott handed in his thesis yesterday and his senior reading is April 30th.  I’m going to make a generous batch of sangria to secretly share with the other listeners in the rose garden.  I remember after last year’s reading, Scott and our roommates got pizza and beer and threw down at our apartment.  We had to start using fans around then because of the lack of windows and the insane build-up of humidity and hot air.  I lived in an oven for part of last summer.

This summer I’m probably moving back to Clinton Hill or to Williamsburg.  One of Scott’s classmates is moving out of a sweet apartment in Clinton Hill and there’s a possibility we’ll be able to hop in on it and find a subletter for our place for May and June if it works out.  Otherwise, we’ll need to find a place closer to the city and closer to Pratt.  My grades have gone up quite dramatically since I’ve moved so far away from all of my friends and I don’t have people constantly visiting or people I can constantly visit, but I’m sick of allowing an hour for myself to get to school or my internship.  Apartment gods, give me one!!!

I skipped my morning class.  I should get ready to go to work.
